How's the 'chat' coming along?:)

Question

I'm just wondering if we will be able to use the chat anytime soon, because as many have said, including me, a lot has been learned using this chat. I've had no way to practice like I did since the chat broke down, and now I don't know where to go to practice what I'm learning! I like SpanishDict a lot; I don't want to have to switch to a new website permanently. Looking forward to the updates:D

Hola Mac! I'm sure SD will post when it is ready. In the meantime you can use the other features here, like practice section. We just need to be patient.:):) - rac1, May 13, 2012

I think it's just a matter of time before the chat goes back online. The SD Admin needs some reliable, responsible moderators and a way to control the members who don't respect the rules.

They are locating a chat that will fit our needs. As Mariana indicates, one that can be more easily moderated and the rules respected.

Also the system has to be compatible with our website. So this would be considered a website and programming issue that is holding the chat back.

Again, the chat is not gone, it is temporarily closed while these issues are worked through.

That's merely a technicality, because that was the objective in the first place. Unfortunately it has spilled over into weeks, and although the site has other nice features... many people would rather use the chat to actively communicate with hb/ap - sinsonte, May 14, 2012

Thanks for the feedback I just wanted to make clear that I wasn't trying to have a tone when I asked the question, but merely checking on a great feature of this website. I respect and understand the fact that members are working to get things back to normal once again.
