Hi Roselyn,

You need to select the Spanish to English tab in the translator. Also, make sure you use a personal pronoun to avoid ambiguity. Ej. Él come sandía.

Hola Roselyn,

I see you are trying to conjugate the word eat. It's always good to try and do it first, by yourself.

Click on the "Translate" tab at the top of this page. Then type in the word "eat" which is the word you want to conjugate. At the bottom of the translations for the word "eat" you will see the English Conjugations for the word eat. The chart should help you with your translations.

If this doesn't help, leave a comment and I will try to help you with this.

The translator is confused. If you type "ella come sandía" you will get an accurate translation. If you type "él come sandía" it thinks "come" is English "come" (venir). Translators don´t always know verb conjugations, which is what is happening here. They can be idiots at times.

any idea if where i could translate it,, - roselyn00, May 13, 2012
"Come sandía" as a separate sentence and with no other context is imperative (demanding) while talking to someone in familiar "you" (tú) and telling him or her to "eat watermellon" - 005faa61, May 13, 2012

Please put the words you want translated inside quotation marks. This will help other members to know what words you want translated. One is able to follow this convention even though not familiar with the language. I believe that you want us to translate the words, "Come sandía." It means, "He eats watermelon."
