Semester - Done

Hola!

How could I best express that I just finished my class, or that the class is done?

Mi clase es terminado. <-- I realize that's probably too straight-from-English.

Acabo de terminar mi curso.

La clase es finito por este semestre.

Any and all corrections, improvements, or alternates welcome.

Gracias Roger

Thanks very much. I'm certainly trying to use them well. I DO very much want to thank folks that helped me here. Muchísimas Gracias!!!

I haven't gotten to see my actual test yet to see what I got right and wrong, but did get to learn the raw score. There were a pair of extra credit questions meaning one could get 102%, theoretically, and I was lucky enough to get a 101, which was the high score among my professor´s 3 class sections.

I knew when I left the test that I was going to miss at least 1/2 point on pair of questions, as a concept came up that we hadn't truly covered. It came up a couple times, so I hedged my bets and answered it I think 2 times each on my best two different guesses. I'm not sure what was right though.

Maybe some kind soul here could fill me in, so I don´t botch it again.

We learned how to say what we do a certain day of the week, for example, los sábados. We also learned how to express more general periods of the day. En la mañana. Por la tarde etc etc. But on the test, we ended up having to translate things like. Sunday mornings, I like to watch TV. Saturday afternoons, I like to play tennis.

My question is how to combine the two (general time of day for a weekly habitual occurrence) Are both plural, or just one)?? In English, I note the plural-S moves

e.g. On Sundays becomes Sunday mornings.

Y en español? Cúal es?

Los domingos por la mañana OR Los domingos por las mañanas

Los sábados en la tarde OR Los sábados en las tardes

O otra manera?

Anyway, it came out well, so I´m not going to whine in the least, but I WOULD like to know which way. It´s been rattling around in my head all weekend, when I should have been concentrating solely on racing. (Yes, I took my first real break weekend, about half working and half riding, since New Year´s day, so it was nice. Still managed to set a new personal best laptime and pick up some new customers, even though my mind was partially still on the test -- not totally a great idea, as this weekend´s track was rather quick, with speeds on my little bike approaching 160mph. Not much time for distraction smile

Puedes decir: "Los sábados por la tarde" o "las tardes de sábado" o incluso "las tardes de los sábados". - -cae-, May 27, 2012
