Points awarded?
Hi all,
Not that it's my chief concern (which is actually learning Spanish) but the last few days, I've noticed several times where I'm awarded zero point for questions or answers being voted on. I don't need or particularly want it fixed, but am just curious, and wonder if I've done something wrong which could cause that. If so, fixing THAT would be my chief concern.
Thanks and as usual Great site.

This is a often pondered mystery. The rep points limit is over 24 hours, not a day to day limit. So if you managed to get 200 points right now (it's 3pm here) from scratch, then you would have to wait until 3pm tomorrow to get any points.
Linking seems to be down, so, copy and paste this link:

You can't get more than 200 points in 24 hrs. Once you've reached that limit, you get zero points for voting or being voted.
One more thing rogspax in your case you are not crossing the limit I saw your profile , what happend that you vote up a lot for others , when you vote up for someone you got 1 rep point , but that not forever there is a limit for this process I don't know exactly how many time in a row you could vote up and get 1 rep point . in the other case Which DJ mention you are under 200 rep point in 24 hours so you will still receive reputations by being voted up . and here is mine to make things clearer.
I have had to report problems several times in the feedback section. I realize that there is a point limit, but I was being awarded 0 points when I should not have been. Each time I have complained, the reputation points have been fixed but I have never received an explanation from management.
If anyone knows why this happens or what is going on, please let everyone know.
I have also reported that my to date point are less than my annual points. This is not a really big deal since I joined close to the last of the year, but it still delays me in going up in the points that show for everyone else. I have never received a response.
