If I'm correct in what you are saying, The reason many Spanish speakers use this site is that it is also a good place to learn and practice English. Of course, their presence is what makes this site so valuable for people like me, so that I can get timely feedback on my (unfortunately) many mistakes.

What is the point of people who know and speak Spanish taking Spanish courses?
The point is to be able to speak and write their native language correctly, which is exactly what many native English speakers need as well. You might want to consider this.
Maybe they need a foreign language course in their school and are taking it to raise their GPA up
