Proper nouns lists?

Can you perhaps add a list of Spanish translations for proper nouns such as state and country names? They don't seem to be in the dictionary. At least, Iowa isn't. Thanks in advance guys, and thanks for this wonderful site and listening to all these suggestions :D K

Good question. My guess is you´ll have to find them by narrowing the scope a bit. For instance, names of countries, or world capitals, etc etc. For them, sometimes proper names are translated. For many proper names, there is no translation. I think Chicago is Chicago pretty much everywhere (and Los Angeles, for our purposes), whereas Nueva York y Londres....
