Is there a difference between fiel y leal? giving meaning for both are loyal and faithful.

They are synonyms. I have always used "fiel" for faithful and "leal" for loyal, however. I don't know if there are any subtle differences that might make one a better choice than the other for certain contexts. I will keep watching this to see if any natives have input.
