They aren´t units in Spanish, but in English.

K means 1000. (thousand) M means 1,000,000. (million)

We use it in English as well...The movie earned $160M on opening weekend. The man won a suitcase worth $10K.

But in India these units are not used that frequently! - ZAYESHA, May 7, 2012
I am pretty sure the English in Austrailia, England, the USA and Canada all use these units. Are you referring to the English used in India? That's interesting. - missy8888, May 7, 2012
I live in India and my school teaches me British English. I have never used 'K' or 'M'. - ZAYESHA, May 7, 2012
