This is an exercise to correct common mistakes in language (Spanish or English). Tell everyone your 'pet peeve' and the correction or explanation. Use the language in which you are most fluent as that is the one you are most familiar with and can explain the best.

STOP

Este es un ejercicio para corregir los errores en el idioma (español o inglés). Decirles a todos su 'cruz particular' y la corrección o explicación. Utilizar el idioma en el que estás más fluidamente como uno está más familiarizado con y puede explicar mejor. Corregir mis errores en este apartado por favor..

One of my pet peeves is the misunderstanding and misuse of the words your and you're in English.

Your describes something that belongs to you. Example: your book.

You're means 'you are'. Example: You're reading your book.

The difference between, it's and its.

it's is a contraction of "it is" Do you think it's ready?

its is the possessive form of it. This stove has its own timer.

For me it has to be the noun gender issue in Spanish. I hate that all nouns are either masculine or feminine and the rules have so many exceptions. Come on why is a table feminine. And even more so why is hand (mano) feminine. Ininimate objects do not have gender so why are all nouns in Spanish masculine or feminine.
