Why does Spanish Dict show the infinitive?

I wanted to use SpanishDict for my test, however, I found out that when you write a full sentence with a verb, when translated, it will display the infinitive verb.

Can you please give some examples? I have tried several sentences, and each one was correct and conjugated the verbs. Are you taking into account that not all verbs are conjugated and even some conjugated verbs use the infinitive plus an ending? I see that you are new to the site, so I don't know how new you are to Spanish.

Thanks!

Well I am fairly new too Spanish, however you see for example, when I type in 'I play football and badminton', it says 'Jugar fútbol y badminton',when it is meant to be 'Juego' - SpanishLeArNeR121, May 5, 2012

Well, first, online translators aren´t perfect. But secondly, I have seen much of that. Could you paste in a couple examples (input and output)?

I just put your sentence into the translator ( Which i never ever use honest )

and this is what came up .- I wanted to use SpanishDict for my test, however, I found out that when you write a full sentence with a verb, when translated, it will display the infinitive verb.

Yo quería utilizar a SpanishDict para mi prueba, sin embargo, me enteré de que al escribir una frase completa, con un verbo, al ser traducidos, se mostrará el verbo en infinitivo. wink

Hi, Learner. What kind of test were you taking that permits you to use an online translator? I was never allowed to do that. In fact, we couldn't even use dictionaries or books of verb conjugations.
