Brief help with business answer

Hi all,

I want to tell a customer that I´ll look up the prices and then answer him later. Could I just say,

Voy a mirar a los precios, y entonces te contesto

I´m not sure about using the ¨voy a¨ futuro inmediato construction, followed by present ¨contesto¨, or if I have to use ¨voy a¨ in the second clause too.

Yes, I´m trying to write a little above my head given my primitive level of Spanish, but though I only started this for fun, it´s already, just a few months into the process, led me to some cool new business opportunities. Which then make me want to learn more, and provide me a lot of real world practice. This is pretty cool.

Anyway, thanks for any insight or help.

regards roger

Since this is business and you are talking to a customer, unless it´s a friend you should use "usted."

"En cuanto averigüe los precios, me pondré en contacto con usted."

Thanks. It´s a customer, but also a friend. My field is motorcycle racing, and everyone seems to use Tú there right away. Rather than guess which one, I just follow whichever form they´ve written to me. But thanks for the answer anyway. Glad to have it - rogspax, May 4, 2012
In this case, "tú" is fine - 005faa61, May 4, 2012
