Learn Spanish 2.3 (DO and IO pronouns)

Hi smile I really like this site but I have a little problem with this lesson. At one point, it is said: "If both object pronouns begin with L, change the 1st L to an S". Following that rule, in the writing excercise I changed the sentence "José les tira las serpentinas a ellos" to "José ses las tira". Then it turned out that my sentence is incorrect...

This covers the situation in which you are saying something like "Tell it to him". This would be "Digalelo", but is changed to "digaselo". It just avoids the "lelo" sound. I do not believe it applies to plural pronouns.

It is very important that you have understand.There is not ses in spanish.Only se.SE is used for singular and plural:

Se = Le,les

José LES tira las serpentinas José SE las tira (it's yours)

José LE tira las serpentinas José SE las tira (it's mine)

Es muy importante que hayas entendido.No hay ses en castellano.Solo se.SE se usa para singular y plural:

Se = Le,les

José LES tira las serpentinas José SE las tira (es tuya)

José LE tira las serpentinas José SE las tira (es mia)
