Mucha or Muy
Can someone tell me which of the following is correct please.
Mi escuchando habilidades son muchas fatales. o Mi escuchando habilidades son muy fatales.
Basically I want to say that my listening skills are REALLY terrible. Cheers.

You'll have to rephrase that sentence in order for it to make sense in Spanish:
Mi comprensión auditiva es mala, or
Mi compresión auditiva es muy mala
Muy is an adverb to emphasise another adverbs or adjectives, like "very" does in English but it has other nuances, so always identify your context to be more accurate:
Es un libro muy leído: it's a widely read book .
Mucho expresses quantity (a lot, many, much), also as an adjective it only modifies nouns and must be used according to gender and quantity of the noun:
Tengo muchas monedas: I've a lot of coins
As an adverb it is invariably mucho, so no plural nor gender:
Necesitamos mucho más agua, note that agua is femenine but in here mucho is modifying the adverb más, not the noun agua
I don't understand why do you want to use muchas and mi instead of mis?
MUCHAS is indefinite adjective,feminine,plural:
Muchas = A lot of------Muchas muchachas = A lot of girls
Mucho...,mucha...,muchos...,muchas...= A lot of....
MUY is an adverb which form the absolute superlativo of the adjectives
Muy = Very------Muchas muchacha son muy guapas = A lot of girls are very beautiful
No entiendo porqué quieres usar a muchas y mi en lugar de mis?.
MUCHAS es adjectivo indefinido,femenino,plural:
Muchas = A lot of----------Muchas muchachas = A lot of girls
Mucho...,mucha...,muchos...,muchas...= A lot of....
MUY es un adverbo que forma al superlativo absoluto de los adjectivos:
Muy = Very------Muchas muchacha son muy guapas = A lot of girls are very beautiful
I agree with julian chivi
I agree with Diagonex and Noetol because both variants can be used depending the situation:
"Mi compresión auditiva es muy mala" ..... This refers more to a physical imparement.
"Mis habilidades de escuchar son malísimas." ..... This is not so much a physical problem as it is simply a matter of not paying attention.
Lo correcto sería : Mis habilidades para escuchar son muy malas. Tambien puedes decir: ¡Mis habilidades para escuchar son terribles!
terrible = muy malas
In this case, I'd avoid the issue altogether and say something like "Mis habilidades de escuchar son malísimas."
I'd use: "En verdad mi escuchando habilidades son muy mal."
Mucho doesn't mean "more" it means "many" or "a lot of" and wouldn't make sense.
I don't think muy works in front of fatal. It would be like saying "are very terrible".
Personally, I would use muy because it makes more sense. . .but I am pretty new to español, so I might not be right. Hopefully someone will tell you for sure. I hope this at least gives you a spring board though!
