"a piece of equipment"
Hello all!
I am writing an essay on the invention of a new piece of farming equipment that's sort of like a tractor or similar piece of machinery.
I am trying to figure out how to say something along the lines of:
"The organization sent three representatives to Spain to see the new piece of farming equipment being developed in Huelva."
According to the SpanishDict dictionary translation of the English "piece": a "piece of equipment" is an "aparato", but I am not sure if this applies to mechanical equipment or something else since the definition does not offer a sample sentence using the word.
Can someone help me figure out how to best translate the sample sentence I wrote above?
My guesses:
Does "máquina" sound better than "aparato" or is there a better word? Additionally, does "aparato" mean "a piece of equipment" by itself or do I need to put "aparato de equipo" like in my first guess? Let me know which of my guesses is best or if there's a different/better way to say the sentence I'm attempting to translate.
Thanks in advance for all your help; you guys are awesome!

I'd wait for a native speaker but here are a couple suggestions for 'farm equipment' - equipo o equipamiento agrícola (LA), Utensilios de granja /agrícolas (Spain) ![]()
