My parents were born in Puerto Rico, so I love the food my mom cooked.

Arroz con gandules y pollo is one of my favorite. It's a Spanish rice, with pigeon peas, and chicken cooked all together. We add onions, garlic, green pepper, cilantro, pork salt, oregano, and green olives. You should try it. Here is a link to the recipe.

My very favorite is the Puerto Rican pasteles which we make before Christmas. They are too much work for one person, so my sisters, my nieces, and I get together to make them. They are made with green bananas, pork, and many other ingredients, and are wrapped in either banana leaves or parchment paper. Here is the link for the pasteles. Enjoy!

Enchiladas Suizas.

Bueno, de hecho, acabo de comer unas enchiladas, me encanta comerlas con pollo, cerdo, y vaca. Otra cosa que me gusta son los churros con chocolate. Hay un restaurante muy cerca de mi casa que sirve los churros como se venden en España (churros con una taza de chocolate). A veces, necesito limitarme porque puedo encontrarme comiendo demasiado, y claro que son malsanos (si comes demasiado )
