Cordobesa is the official corrector of the Spanish sentences and since there are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. Please correct your posts according to Cordobesa's suggestions.

  • ¡Usa tus propias palabras!

When we talk on the phone it is not the same as seeing you face to face.

When you meet the triumph and the downfall, treat those two cheaters in the same way.

Gracias a Cordy:

Kipling: When you can meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same.. - annierats, Apr 27, 2012
If you can fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run..The famous poem 'If''. . - annierats, Apr 27, 2012
O, thank you so much, Annie! I didn't know that this is from Kipling!!! Thank you so much!!!! Just a quick question: is this my translation wrong or these "downfall" and "cheaters" are ok in this case? - Silvia_Tcherneva, Apr 27, 2012
I will read it! Thank you so much, amiga!!! You are great!!!:) - Silvia_Tcherneva, Apr 27, 2012
Honestly I don't really understand this sentence... Kipling's version better-written, but still I don't get it. - Qwertie, Apr 29, 2012

Living in the middle street is not the same as living in the middle of the street.

Cordobesa, this sounds a little odd in Englsih, te mandaré un PM, no tengo ningún problema con los PMs - annierats, Apr 27, 2012
Gracias, Annie, mensaje contestado ;) - Cordobesa, Apr 27, 2012
I think: ' To be living in the street in the middle..' For some reason this is hard to translate. - annierats, Apr 27, 2012
Muchas gracias, Annie :)) - Cordobesa, Apr 28, 2012

Thanks for the corrections dear friends. Anybody else wondering a little about the bride that is crawling on her knees in the grass? Doesn't seem very kosher for wedding deportment. - katydew, Apr 27, 2012

I always avoid doing the same things every day.

Doesn't matter how clear the message, everybody won't understand the same.

What the different between somebody and some one..? - ytotrip, Apr 27, 2012
You can use either one here. You don't need "is" in that sentence. - rac1, Apr 27, 2012
Se siente extraño pero está bien. - ytotrip, Apr 27, 2012
That doesn't sound right. You could say "No matter how clear the message, not everybody will understand it the same way" - Qwertie, Apr 29, 2012

Muchas gracias querida Kathy por tus observaciones!! Saludos!! - sabrinaq, Apr 27, 2012
Aunque no entiendo la idea deseada, pero una traducción mejor es: It is not the same to lose one minute in life as to lose your life in a minute. - Qwertie, Apr 29, 2012
