While my English speaking class was among Spanish speaking students at a Center this morning, I noticed the students were required to say, here fishy, fishy in English. How would same be spoken in Spanish?

Bienvenido al foro. Could you elaborate. What sort of centre and what sort of fish? - annierats, Apr 25, 2012
Why did they say 'fishy'? - annierats, Apr 25, 2012

Debe decir algo comó:

"Ven aquí, pez pez." o "Aquí, pez pez"

I am not sure how to make the word "fish" seem "smaller" or "cuter". I know you can add ito or ita to words to signify smallness, cuteness or endearment, but I don't think it works for the word "pez". Can anyone else weigh in on this?

Pez is a good term for fish, and you may also use "pescado" (although I think this one is usually used for a fish that you may consider eating). Furthermore, I've heard "pescadito" often as a nickname, so that works with this construction (diminutive -- "little fish").
