So I'm a bit stumped with reflexive verbs and the past perfect (EL PRETÉRITO PLUSCUAMPERFECTO DE INDICATIVO) The question I can't seem to figure out on my home is below. I need to conjugate the reflexive verb in parenthesis to past perfect. Can someone help me?

Antes de que yo entrara a trabajar a esa compañía, ya muchos clientes (2) _____ (quejarse) de los problemas que tenían con algunos de los cobradores.

That's interesting. There is no conjugation listed for "quejarse" in the SpanishDict dictionary.

I think what you need is "se habían quejado".

I'd recommend waiting for someone who's sure, or looking elsewhere for the conjugation chart. Here is where I found my answer. I've never used that site before, so I offer no guarantee of it's accuracy.

Yes, you're right, that's past perfect. It's weird that quejarse is missing from the conjugations, but you can find it in the dictionaries. - inkubzz, Apr 22, 2012

Don't worry!.The reflexive verbs have the same cojugation like the intransitive and transitive verbs

Quejarse = the verb quejar +the reflexive pronoun se

Entenderse = the verb entender + the reflexive pronoun se

Dopmirse = the verb dormir + the reflexive pronoun

QUEJAR----QUEJARSE

Quejo------Me quejo

Quejas----Te quejas

Queja-----Se queja

The same verb can be intransitive verb, transitive verb o reflexive verb:

ENTENDER:

-transitive verb----¿Entiendes lo que te digo? = Do you understand what I tell you?

-intransitive verb--- Entiende de música = He / she has an ear for music

-reflexive verb----Se entienden por señas = They understand each other through signs.

The reflexive pronoun precedes the verb if it is a simple tense or precedes the auxiliary verb if it is a composed tense.

The translation:...se habían quejado.....

¡No te preocupes!.Los verbos reflexivo tienen la misma conjugación como los verbos intransitivos y transitivos:

Quejarse = elverbo quejar + el pronombre reflexivo se

Entenderse = el verbo entender + el pronombre reflexivo se

Dormirse = el verbo dormir +el pronombre reflexivo se

QUEJAR----QUEJARSE

Quejo------Me quejo

Quejas----Te quejas

Queja-----Se queja

The translation:.....

.El mismo verbo puede ser verbo intransitivo, verbo transitivo o verbo reflexivo.:

ENTENDER

-verbo transitivo----¿Entiendes lo que te digo? = Do you understand what I tell you?

-verbo intransitivo----- Entiende de música = He / she has an ear for music

-verbo reflexivo-----Se entienden por señas = They understand each other through signs.

El pronombre reflexivo precede el verbo si es un tiempo simple o precede el verbo auxiliar si es un tiempo compuesto.

La traducción: se habían quejado....
