making a complaint

Hola,

I have to do homework regarding complaining about noisy works that exist next to my flat. Which is the best way to say : I'm writing to you to complain about the horrible noise next to my apartment?

Me dirijo a Usted para elevar una queja de ruido horroroso que se escucha desde calle cerca de mi apartamento (o lugar de domicillo)?

Thanks for your help! grin

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'd say something like,

"Me gustaría presentar una queja sobre el ruido en la calle cerca de mi apartamento."

So I guess the new rules do not apply to everyone that is unless one of the other moderators PM'd you for answering a question with improper capitalization. - gringojrf, Apr 21, 2012

I have found it advisable to stay away from the word " complain ", rather say,

" Dear sir / madam , I would like to draw your attention to the noise which

WE hear coming from the vicinity of my flat.
