To make up a class - Do I use 'recobrar'?

I want to know how to say, 'make up a lesson' or 'make up a class'. If I need to be away from class on a certain day but I want to take the class on an alternate day so I don't get behind, what is the best way to say that?

Recobrar? Reponer?

I looked on hacer, and in the forum questions but I didn't find exactly what I wanted. Here are my 2 tries.

-Necesito recobrar la próxima clase porque viajamos.

-¿Podría recobrar/reponer la clase de la próxima clase?
