have a question, and I looked confused and many words that are written like this: Dry-cleaners, Ligth-headed. These two words carry a line in the middle and I want to know is that they put that line, would be badly written or if it is not we.

First, Ligth-headed is spelled Light-headed.

I don't know what the exact rules are but here's some good information, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyphen. A quick search on the internet finds definitions for both with and without the use of the hyphen.

Many times there are two words that are very closely linked and are used as a "collective" noun. Your two examples fit this category. Others examples are part-time, devil-may-care, light-year, X-ray, and mother-in-law. It is a very common useage in English.

Most of the time, the meaning would be understood if the hyphens are not used, but the use of the hyphen emphasises the connection and that the words are to be taken together to mean one thing.

If it makes you feel better, I am a native speaker, and I still get a little confused on hyphenated words. It really can be a crazy language at times!
