How do you translate "bed" in Spanish? (bed of pickup truck)
I want to say: My husband puts his kayak in the bed of our pickup truck. How do you translate "bed" in Spanish. My intercambio partners tell me it is not "cama."

Cama is most common, but caja is sometimes used as well.
From Wikipedia, I got this:
A pickup truck has "una zona de carga descubierta" (denominada «caja, batea, platón, cama o palangana»)
So any of those words in bold seem to be your answer.
caja
cama is bed
idk y dont u figure out ![]()
I agree, "caja" is most common term. "Una zona de carga descubierta" is something that would be used in the design process of the truck or in very techical terms.
Whatever you do, do not call the pick-truck "troca." This is not Spanish. It´s an abomination called "spanglish."
