What does "que" mean in this sentence?

What is the usage of que in "No me digas que no"? I'm not sure if I can understand it as that.

I think it is just Spanish terminology and it means "that". In other words "don't tell me that the answer is no"

eddy ia right! and an example of (no me digas): when you are talking to someone, and you hear something that makes you surprised, and you can say this sentence! (no me digas)
