Just like in English: we call men handsome, and call women beautiful.

We wouldn't typically call a man, "You're so beautiful~" (unless to be funny and sarcastic)

In Spanish, "guapa" is the female equivalent for handsome, so it can be used to call a woman very pretty and beautiful. The "muy" is added for enthesis of how pretty she is, and is the English equivalent for "very."

So all together it means, "very pretty/beautiful."

It means "very nice looking." Perhaps the old term "fair" is the same. It is slightly different than "muy bonita," very pretty. The masculine "guapo" means handsome.
