what are badges

I know we earn the badges for doing stuff like completing stuff to but what can we do with those badges is there like a store or what its stupid to just have badges and cant do nothing with them so my question is like whats the purpose of these badges????

Hello again, JesusFreak,
Badges are for motivation. There is nothing you can do with them, but it's a sort of reward for working hard (hopefully) and earning points the harder you prove yourself. So, motivation, rewarding, and seeing the progress you have made.
And Allan, take a look at this and you will be able to see all that you need to know.
