Help translating: "Mis debilidades son tus destrezas...."

Hello,

I have part of a letter that I need a little help understanding.

Person #2: "Yo no te culpo por todos mis actos como tu lo dices, porque mis debilidades son tus destrezas y mis destrezas tus debilidades."

Translated literally, I understand that it says:

"I don't blame you for all my actions like you said, because my weaknesses are your skills (?) maybe strengths and my skills are your weaknesses."

But I don't really understand the real meaning of what's being said, (in bold). I guess in my mind, the 2nd line doesn't fit with the first line.

The context is that person #1 said to person #2 "you blamed ME for your actions." And person #2 responded with that sentence above.

Anyway, I'm stuck. If anyone can help I'd appreciate! (no guessing please). Thank you!

I don' t blame you for all my behahviour/actions, in the way you say..

after that, it's just as you've translated it yourself..

Person 2 is seemingly letting person 1 know that... he/she is wrong about saying that he/she blamed him for his own actions (as person 1 had said he/she did) [as you stated].

because my weaknesses are your strengths/skills, and your weaknesses are my strengths/skills.

I mean, where are you reading this from? There has to be a context to follow prior or after (or prior to and after) what you've posted.

It's from a letter. What precedes it is: "Y es muy cierto lo que tu dices "acciones son reacciones" y la verdad yo no te culpo.... etc. Nothing follows it. That's why I don't really get what the 2nd line really has to do with the argument. ? - Anna, Apr 16, 2012
