You should try to use the translation feature on the site and give your own translation. We then can guide you to the translation. Part of learning is trying...good luck....and we'll be lurking...jejeje

thanks for your help, I guess it expresses something like that one you said, that it was in line with then-current practices or themes or I dont know what. something like that.. I'll wait for any other answers and see... Thanks for ur welcome! - Pringao, Apr 14, 2012

ah, man, i'm trying to translate this one a quite some time now. I was trying to post it earlier again but I couldn't.

and I have done my search, i know el hilo means thread/string, al hilo means like beginning something and la actualidad is nowadays/presently etc.

but I wanna know if it has any special meaning or there is an exact phrase in english meaning the same thing cause i'm trying to translate it into my native language

anyways, SpanishDict gives me that: "in line with the current", but I still don't really get it..

the excerpt i wanna translate goes:

"los albumes recogen las historietas publicadas semana a semana, al hilo de la actualidad, en la revista......" so it should be: "the albums collect the strips published weekly, in line with the current (?), in the magazine...." ?

I'm also having problems with posting, probably it's temporary and will go away. - annierats, Apr 14, 2012
