How would I say "or anything" in a joking way? For example, it's a story and the character makes a joke about why his sword would need sharpened.

"It's not like I was rough with it or anything."

My attempt: "No es que yo era bruto con ella ni nada".

And if there's nothing like that in Spanish, would it have the same meaning/idea without that phrase?

I'd say: "Ni nada por el estilo" or "Ni remotamente" or "Ni de casualidad".

It's something like what you said. I don't know any standard way of translating this phrase.

  • ni nada así
