Que significa ¿Les tomo nota?

I am listening to a Spanish podcast. While I am listening, I am also reading the Spanish transcript that goes along with it.

The story takes place in Spain. A young couple are at a restaurant and they are ready to order their food. The waiter asks them if they have already decided (¿Han decidido ya, señores?) and then he says ¿Les tomo nota? I have a feeling it means something like "Are you ready for me to take your order?" or "Shall I take your order? but I am not exactly sure how to best translate this small sentence. Can someone please help me? I thank you all in advance!

Yes Nilda. The both sentences means the same that you feeling it is. correct my English please. Tambien pueden decir "Les tomo su orden?" o "Ya estan listos para ordenar?" Estas son las mismas oraciones que las tuyas pero en español. These sentences are the same like yours but in spanish. Saludos.
