Cacophony in Spanish

Question

Some things just don't sound well, so they get changed so that they do.

For example: 'El le lo dijo" becomes "El se lo dijo' because the "le-lo" combination does not sound right. Second example; ¨¨El le lo advertió becomes ¨´ El se lo advertió´" (I warned him of it)

There must be more of these cacophonies, do you know them?

I think "él le lo dijo" in not correct, and has nothing to do with the sound.

Correct options are: él se lo dijo; él le dijo

It does have to do with the sound. The only reason "él le lo dijo" is incorrect is that there's a rule stating that any instance of "le lo" (which would otherwise occur by normal use of the pronouns) must be replaced with "se lo," purely to sound better. - whig, Apr 14, 2012

To be honest with you, as a native, I would never have to think about this explanation! I didn't even know there was a conflict here because in my mind it has never existed! I would never used those two together. "Le + lo".
