Te quiero a

Te quiero a

If Te quiero means I love you, what is a safe way to lead off a sentence with "I want you..."

Example: I want you to sweep the floor. I want your help. I want you to leave.

( I'm not looking for direct translations on these sentences, but a school of thought on safely handling sentences that start with I want you, yet have nothing to do with love)

Thanks!

A good way to say this is "quiero que (subjunctive)." Quiero que barras el piso. There won't be any confusion : )

good answer :) - you could also add the 'tú' for emphasis - quiero que tú barras el piso ;) - Kiwi-Girl, Apr 10, 2012
