Greetings confusion

Question

If someone greets me with Que tal? What is the apropriate repsonse? Is "Estoy bien gracias" acceptable here aswell as in respnse to "como estás?"

Try looking up tal in the dictionary. It will give you the answer. But I'll copy and paste it for you.
¿qué tal…? -> how…? ¿qué tal (estás)? -> how's it going?, how are you doing?

So yes, you can answer, "Estoy bien gracias."
