Help with Spanish Translation- Small Phrase

What does "Lo están pasando" mean in English? I tried using the translator, but I was still confused. I think it means "They are passing time well", but I am not entirely sure.

Lo están pasando means "they are having a (good/bad) time"
Pasarla bien .. to have good time
¿Cómo lo están pasando? ... How are you guys doing? (usually in a social setting)
