"Thank you for looking into this for me"
Hola a todos!
I'm replying to an email from a faculty member at my university. I'm still studying Spanish and I wrote him a technical email in English because I don't feel my Spanish is good enough to explain my question properly. However, he replied back in Spanish. It was a quick email, I think he just said "Thank you for your email, I will investigate the matter and get back to you soon!"
I just want to say "Thank you for looking into this for me, I look forward to your reply".
My best approximation in Spanish would be:
"Gracias por investigarlo para mí, espero por su repuesto."
Or should it be: "Gracias por investigar este para mí...."
Or... should I use the verb "mirar", that sounds kind of funny to me.
Any help would be appreciated!
I just want to make sure it sounds 'right' because he's a Doctor of Spanish and I don't want to sound silly. ![]()
¡Muchas gracias!

Hola. Creo que la respuesta mas adecuada y cortes seria:
"Gracias por su ayuda. Quedo en espera de sus comentarios"
