ser vs. estar con evento

La practica es al lugar de siempre

         o

La practica esta al lugar de siempre

It's a bit confusing. Anyway, here is what I think: "It's like the practice is always the place." - Aloysius-Ezeonyeka, Apr 5, 2012

"Ser" shows permanent charterstics and "estar" is for temporary charterstics ..

For example - For Ser

:- Ella es muy Guapa.

For Estar

:- Yo Estoy feliz hoy

If you are asking how to use Ser or Estar for events then you would have to use them like this: ES instead of SER, and that is like saying "IS"(present), for example: "La práctica ES en el lugar de siempre"- "The practice IS at the usual place" If you want to use ESTAR (also present) you would have to use it differently, for instance "La práctica ESTÁ siendo llevada a cabo en el lugar de siempre" would be like saying: "The practice IS BEING HELD at the usual place". "ESTÁ SIENDO LLEVADA A CABO" means "IS BEING HELD". You CANNOT use the word "ESTÁ EN" for this purpose, that would mean "ON" or "AT". For example: "El jarrón ESTÁ EN la mesa" would be "The vase is ON the table" "La niña ESTÁ EN el parque" would be "The girl is AT the park". It is a little confusing but I hope this is helpful!
