Imperfecto o preterite?! Siempre tengo problemas......

Okay I am writing about my vacation last week. I want to say that "In the mornings and afternoons I would swim and tan. At night I would go shopping and eat at restaurants with delicious seafood" Right now I have it as imperfect like this: En las mañanas y tardes nadaba en la piscina y tomaba el sol. Durante las noches iba a compras y cenaba en restaurantes con mariscos deliciosos.

But I was thinking since it only happened for one week in the past should it instead be in preterite? Or because it was on going for a certain amount of time should it be imperfect?

please help!

I would say that since these were all repeated actions over time, the imperfect should be used. Let's see what the native speakers say about this.
