I'm not a native speaker but I have lived in Mexico. I would say:

"El partido de baloncesto fue divertido" which translates to "The basketball game was fun." In Mexico, I've only heard them say, "básquetbol."

(In any case you wouldn't use "buena" to describe "juego." You would use "bueno" to describe "juego."

First of all, you should probably look it up in the translator next time. But since you asked anyway, 'The basketball game was good' in Spanish is "El juego de baloncesto era buena."
