I am trying to understand how to use the Pronombre Refexivo with Mandotos Informales.

This is the example that my instructor provided, but I'm not sure this one part. #3

1) Verb= sentar(se) ; 2) Conjugate= (tú) sientas(te); 3) problem with this => siéntate ;
Why dosen't the (a) change to (e) with this conjugation, for the Affirmative of sentar?;

  1. Finally: ¡No te sientes!

Thanks, Lesley

If you haven't already, please try yourself first. Then if you need help come back and ask a question. - rac1, Mar 30, 2012

Los verbos reflexivos como SENTAR van acompañados normalmente del pronombre reflexivo para indicar sobre quién recae la acción:

Sentarse (Indicativo)

Yo me siento, tú te sientas, él se sienta

Imperativo

¡Siéntame! (a mi) o ¡Siéntate! (tú) o Siéntalos (a ellos)

Negativo

¡No me sientes! o ¡No te sientes! o ¡No los sientes!

...i don't undestand your question; however, verbs that can be executed on yourself (or in the person you are givving the instruction to) always end up with "te" =)

Agáchate Levántate Márchate Apresúrate

Let me clearify the question. sentar(se) Is this right: siéntate

Why isn't it this: siéntete

I understand this with no pronouns. ¡ Sientes! or ¡No sientes!

Look at the verb conjugation tables. The imperative forms of sentar are sienta and siente in the 2nd person informal and formal. - afowen, Mar 29, 2012
