Cuidarse, with c. Cuidate, I think.. inormal. I often spell with Q as well, just call it a typo. - annierats, Mar 29, 2012

To find the correct form of "cuidar" to use in your sentence, click on the "Conjugate" tab at the top of this page. Type in the verb you want to conjugate, "cuidar" and you will see a listing of all conjugations for this word.

If you don't know how to say a certain verb in Spanish, click on the "Translate" tab and type the English word(s), i.e., "to care for", to play, to recite, to jump, etc. Doing this should give you the verb in Spanish. Then, if you type in the Spanish verb, you will see how that verb is conjugated by scrolling down towards the bottom of that page.

I hope this is helpful to you.

It is not as simple as looking at the conjugation table. In this case, there is a rule, The combination of the imperative (command) form of the verb with an indirect object or pronoun or both together only happens in the faniliar. - pvrfederico, Jul 9, 2017

Actually, there is not such a thing as a "formal" way to say "take care" in Spanish.

  • Take care is very informal! It is used between people that know each other pretty well! The closest form would be, "¡Cuídese!" which is more"formal" than "Cuídate"or "Cuidate" but still, it is not quite "formal"
  • The best expressions to use in a similar situation would be "¡Hasta luego!, "¡Que tenga un buen día"

Dear Kumin, I think the formal is cuidado, and the informal is cuidate. Pam
