Let's give the Spanish speakers some practice in using English phrases.

Use the following phrase in a sentence to practice the following English phrase:

"quaking in my boots" = muy asustado

Ej.: She was quaking in her boots when she met her mother-in-law.

(You may also use "shaking in your/his/her/my/their boots" - regional English difference).

Yes, Gringo, I've heard it both ways and it's good to have a choice. So, those who see this, you may use either phrase. It means the same. - katydew, Mar 28, 2012
Yes, Luis. That's right. Try one of your own. - katydew, Mar 28, 2012

Tengo miedo, soy niña.

We always call each other (and ourselves) girls when one is afraid to do something.
