It depends on the native language of the person learning. An Italian will probably find Spanish easier than English because they are both Romance languages. Different things can be said for many of the nationalities. But many say that Spanish isn't hard. - Shane457, Mar 28, 2012

There are too many differences to cover. For starters, English is a Germanic language and Spanish is a Romance language. Different syntaxes, pronunciations, words, culture, and much more. This question is a little bit too broad.
