I belong to a group of friends who love to cook. We meet once a month and everyone brings a dish to share (sort of like a potluck dinner). The host cooks a dish in front of the group and teaches us the recipe. Last month, it was my turn to host. I prepared a delicious lasagna. What is your favorite dish? Share it with us. It will be fun and help us learn more Spanish."

Jambalaya is one of my favorites.

Jambalaya es una de mis favoritas.

Jambalaya is one of the most celebrated foods here in Louisiana. The spicy concoction makes an appearance at virtually every festival in South Louisiana—especially the Jambalaya Festival in Gonzales, west of New Orleans, which calls itself the Jambalaya Capital of the World. Even though I believe it originated in Spain.

Hi, Rac! It looks so so tasty! - Silvia_Tcherneva, Mar 27, 2012
- francobollo, Mar 27, 2012
It used to be one of mine until I became allergic to shellfish. : ( - martha-sd, Mar 27, 2012

My favorite dish is red beans and rice served with sweet and green plantains. It is a commonly eaten in Nicaragua.

Tengo muchas comidas favoritas.

I have many favorite dishes. I am very greedy, it is pipical for my zodiac sign - Taurus. I love cooking, but I do not love eat all my own dishes. I don't know why. A dish that I can cook very well is called "Musaca". "Musaca" contains: minced meat, onion, garlic, olive oil, red tomato sauce, eggplant, chilly paper, potatos, chees, muchrooms, walnuts and parsley. This dish is very tasty.

My favourite food are dumplings with boiled cabagge and smoked meat. This is czech food and it is lovely, but I dont have a picture.

can i ask you? Why did you choose this ? CADA QUIEN. Does it mean everyone? I thought only cada can be enough?

Hi Portobella -- I would say "repollo hervido" y carne ahumada. Your choice is making me hungry too. - francobollo, Mar 27, 2012
Cada quien means "each person". Cada by itself only means each. I hope this helps. - francobollo, Mar 27, 2012
It surely helped...actually all these small things from chatting remain in my head, thanks - portobella, Mar 27, 2012
