Hola, So in Spanish "de vacio" means empty-handed. How do you say" they came to the party empty-handed? ( the translator doesn't work well with idioms. Thanks Mehrnaz

En mi trabajo uso una bomba de vacío.

Cuando voy a una fiesta procuro no llegar con las manos vacías.

I have never heard the phrase "de vacío". That doesn't mean it doesn't exist. To me, empty handed would translate well as "con las manos vacías".

You would say this by:

Ellos vinieron a la fiesta con las manos vacías.

Hope this helped!
