It does'nt matter if you're male or female 1st person ends in O and a female would tell you tengo hambre not tenga hambre because she's female - albert-fabrik-, Mar 26, 2012

Albert is one of our best members here, however, he's running out of caffeine or something...

A woman says "No estoy segura." (I'm not sure) "No estoy cansada." (I'm not tired)

A man says "No estoy seguro." (I'm not sure) "No estoy cansado." (I'm not tired).

In English if you say "I am not sure", we would recognize the verrb as "to be" (am), and the word "sure" as an adjective describing the subject pronoun "I". It seems to me the same is true in the Spanish version. "Segura" would be appropriate adjective to use for a known female subject.

Estoy = I am = 1st person should be segurO - albert-fabrik-, Mar 26, 2012
if its the girl talking then it would be "segura", Im pretty sure :) - saratoga, Mar 26, 2012
If you were talking about her 3rd person then it would be No esta segura ( she's not sure ) but this is saying No estoy and therefore is 1st person - albert-fabrik-, Mar 26, 2012
