Yo estaba en Guatemala la semana pasada con algunos doctores. Yo estaba explicando las instrucciones de la medicina a los pacientes y con la medicina masticable, ellos me preguntaron “¿Es chupable?” Pienso que chupable significa masticable, pero no sé. ¿Qué significa chupable?

Chupar means to suck on something. It's a very common verb in the Spanish language and not typical of Guatemala alone. Masticable comes from masticar (to chew).

Well, good thing they were chewable vitamins. They can suck on them all they want, they will eventually dissolve. The important thing is that they eat them. - chad_es_epico, Mar 26, 2012
