"Let me explain"
Example:
"This project can´t be done on the computer...let me explain:..."
If you were talking to your boss, could you just say "Déjeme explicar?"
Or does that sound aggressive? Sometimes nuances in Spanish are hard for me, a non-native speaker. I know the commands are used quite often, but they don´t carry the negative tone that they sometimes do in English (not to say the above example in English would be aggressive-sounding).
Is that acceptable, or does that sound like I´m being too pushy, like "Hey! LET ME EXPLAIN THIS!"

"Déjeme explicárselo" / "Déjeme que se lo explique", no suena mal, aunque la agresividad depende muchas veces del tono y no de las palabras. Si lo dices con un tono enfadado o de superioridad, sonará agresivo. Si quieres suavizarlo, puedes añadir "por favor". Si quieres ser todavía más cortés, puedes decir "Permítame que se lo explique" / "Permítame explicárselo, por favor" / "Si me permite, se lo puedo explicar".
