First Place (or second or third...) as in a finishing position in a race or other competition

Hi all,

I need to know how to say First Place (or second or third...) as in a finishing position in a race or other competition. I keep getting references to ¨en primer lugar¨ which I´m pretty sure is a completely different sense. I just need the racing-competition-judging sense of ¨First Place¨ Actually, last place would be helpful too. ¨Front Row¨ As in, ¨She started the race from the front row¨

1st place - en primero lugar 2nd place - en segundo lugar 3rd place - en tercer lugar last place- el último luger in the front row - en la primera fila
