" like + verb+ing"

hola, siempre pensé que después del verbo "like" el otro verbo iba con "ing" por ejemplo "I like dancing" pero ultimamante he visto escrito también en infinitivo por ejemplo "I like to swim" entonces no sé cuál va.

I like to swim ( verb ) / I like swimming ( gerund ). Both are acceptable.

"I like to swim" and "I like swimming" son iguales..."Me gusta nadar". El segundo caso tiene sabor de "Me gusta la natación." (el deporte).
