How to write address in Spanish for a friendly letter?
NOTE: This name/address is completely fictional. Thank you.
Hello, I have to write a letter to a fictional South American penpal for my Spanish 3 class. One of the requirements is to write your name, address, and date at the top of the paper in Spanish. I have done about an hour of Google searching for how to write an address in Spanish/how to format it, but I found nothing useful. Does this look correct?
Karina Smith
El numero 2920 de la calle 23
Des Moines, Ia, 50026
23 de marzo de 2012
I formatted both the address and date on the top right corner of the paper. It's supposed to say in English: Karina Smith
2920 23rd Street
Des Moines, IA, 50026
March 23, 2012
Thanks, any knowledge on this topic is greatly appreciated.

I am not sure how it is in South America... Here in Mexico, the street name comes before the house number.
Depende del pais en el que te encuentres. En Mexico es
Nombre
Calle, Numero y Colonia
Municipio o Ciudad
C.P.
Estado y Pais
The format is very similar,
Karina Smith 2920 calle 23 Des Moines, IA, 50026
23 de Marzo, 2012
It also depends on the country but generally speaking is almost the same as in US.
It's been a while since I've sent a letter, but I would say
Name LastName,
#1234, calle "Nombre de la calle", Barrio "Nombre del barrio"
Ciudad, Estado, País,
Código postal 0123456
Fecha (formato: 23 de marzo de 2012)
