Voy a mis llaves/

I am looking for my keys

Have you heard this said this way,i.e. using voy a when you are looking for something?

I'ts "voy por mis llaves" or "voy a por mis llaves" (the last one is more used in Spain).

"Voy a" means "I'm going to"

I am looking for my keys! = ¡Estoy buscando mis llaves!

  • Voy a... = I am going to... I.E. I'm going to look for some sugar in the pantry! = Voy a mirar si hay algo de azúcar en la despensa/alacena.
  • It is incorrect to use it that way!
